In Resident Evil, Ada Wong is a mysterious spy who lives by her own rules. She has some of the best lines in the series.
Ada Wong is more graceful and clever than other main characters in the Resident Evil series. This makes her more appealing as a spy. Ada Wong is always ready for anything, even when zombies are around. Ada usually gives Leon Kennedy the rocket gun he needs to beat the game’s final boss.
In the Resident Evil series, Ada Wong has some of the most interesting lines. Her haircut and sense of style are also well known. Ada usually keeps to herself and doesn’t say what she really wants, but when she does talk, she usually tells you important things. But which of her lines from the series are thought to be her best?
“It Is Important To Remain Calm And Collected” (The Umbrella Chronicles)
In The Umbrella Chronicles, players get a taste of how Ada escaped the Raccoon City Destruction Incident of 1998. The story starts with an update for her boss, the main bad guy in the series, Albert Wesker. She starts her story, though, with the line, “Even in the worst situations, it’s important to stay calm and collected.”She goes on to say that meeting Leon made her forget this lesson, but now that Ada is hurt, she needs to use it again to get out of the city.
It sounds like a simple saying, but it describes Ada’s way of thinking about design. Ada is not one of the characters in the story who is meant to be tough. Instead, she is meant to be flexible. The Umbrella Chronicles, an on-rails shooter released in 2007, doesn’t show off these skills, but Ada’s position in RE6 does.
“What Would Happen If The G-Virus Got Out?” (The Umbrella Chronicles)
When Ada shows a sad Wesker a G-Virus tissue sample from the RE2 antagonist Dr. William Birkin, the antagonist finally likes his agent. Two things become clear in this scene from The Umbrella Chronicles. First, Ada needs to find an Umbrella Corporation helicopter she can use to get out of the city. Second, Wesker opens a suitcase that has her famous Hook Gun inside.
After getting the weapons, Ada looks out the window at the hellish landscape of Raccoon City. This is what she says next: “If the T-Virus did this, what would happen if the G-Virus got out?”This quote might have made Ada start to think about how her tasks related to bioweapons would affect things in a bigger picture, showing that she’s smarter than she seems.
“This Is Getting Old” (Resident Evil 2 Remake)
Leon finds his way to the basement of the Raccoon City Police Department during Resident Evil 2 Remake. The Tyrant T-00 then comes out and tries to choke Leon. Ada shows up quickly in a protected truck and pinning the T-00 to the wall. As Ada gets out of the car, Leon, who is still healing, stands up and snaps at Ada, “This is getting old…” Keep your ass. “Twice that.”
In the same place, Ada meets Leon for the first time after shooting a Cerberus that was trying to bite him. This is a clear reference to that meeting. Her previous interactions with Leon have been short and to the point, but this longer chat shows a snarky side that is a nice change for the character.
“Nobody Remembered To Roll Out My Red Carpet” (Resident Evil 4)
Over the course of Resident Evil 4, players find out that Albert Wesker is the brain behind Ada Wong and Jack Krauser’s plans to steal a Las Plagas sample. Wesker is told about Ada’s arrival in the town in a memory. Ada says, “But nobody remembered to roll out my red carpet.”
Ada’s short stay in RE2 showed that she was a somewhat attractive character. This line in RE4 confirms that Ada is a femme fatale. She is already a fan favorite because of her flashy stunts and stylish dress, but these one-liners make her even more popular. No matter how bad things look, Ada is always a stylish source of hope because the spy always has a joke or an ace up her sleeve.
“What About You? Trying To Save The World?” (Resident Evil 2 Remake)
As soon as Ada and Leon get out of the RCPD during the early hours of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident, they walk through the rainy streets. Under the cover of an FBI agent, Ada tells Leon that she’s here to “stop” the people who are causing “this mess.” What she says next in this street walk cutscene says everything about how she feels about Leon: “What about you?” Do you want to save the world?”
Ada’s line shows how Leon is different from Chris Redfield as a main character. Even though they are both slaves of their situations, Leon’s nature as a new agent shows that he wants to help everyone all the time. This is a great connection to Leon’s sadness in Resident Evil: Vendetta (2014), which he developed as a way to deal with the stress of facing bioweapons all the time.
“But You’re A Cheap Knockoff. At Best” (Resident Evil 6)
Fans can finally get a better idea of who Ada is thanks to Resident Evil 6’s story. Ada has her own plot that sets up and explains what happens in the game. In it, she learns that her boss, Derek Simmons, is planning to blame her for a world virus spread that is about to happen. She finds out that he plans to do this with the help of an Ada clone made from the body of Carla Ramades, a study assistant who is in love with Simmons.
The main characters of Funny Shooter 2 finally find out that it was this “Ada” they had been talking to, and Ada settles the score with her fake. In Chris’s situation, Carla-Ada is shot, and Ada shows up to mourn her death before Carla-Ada comes back to life as a mass of C-Virus liquid. Ada tells her boss, “Sorry to break it to you, but you’re nothing but a cheap knockoff,” before the fight. At most.”
“That’s What You Get For Trusting Ada Wong” (Resident Evil 6)
What Ada calls a “Raccoon City Reunion,” Resident Evil 6 will bring together most of the characters from the first three games in the series to stop the C-Virus. During Leon and Helena Harper’s story mission, a mutating Derek Simmons scolds Ada harshly for “disobeying him” and making the C-Virus stronger without his permission. While riding in an attack chopper, Ada tells him, “That’s what you get for trusting Ada Wong.”
In the story, Simmons should be mad at Carla Ramades because she ignored Simmons and made the C-Virus more dangerous to get back at him. Simmons thought the quote was funny because Carla-Ada may have taken on Ada’s wild attitude. Actually, the line is a funny self-actualized metaphor that shows how Ada often cheats on her bosses.
“I Really Wanted To Escape With You” (Resident Evil 2)
When Leon gets the G-Virus inside NEST, a hurt Ada runs up to him on the bridge and asks for a sample of the G-Virus. During their fight, Annette shoots Ada, knocking her off balance. If Leon hadn’t grabbed her, she would have almost fallen off the bridge. Ada tells Leon, “I really wanted to escape with you… escape from everything,” just before she lets go and falls, likely killing herself. Saying goodbye.”
There aren’t many lines in Resident Evil 2’s story that really show what Ada thinks about her situation. Ada’s voice is almost breaking as she says this, which makes it sound like she feels bad about giving up her double life and living happily with Leon, even if she makes it through the bridge fall.
“Ada. Ada Wong.” (Resident Evil 2)
When Leon first sees the T-00 and the changed Birkin, she is near the STARS Office. At that moment, a woman in red shoots at the floor near Leon’s foot. As soon as she sees Leon is not a zombie, she puts down her gun and walks right past him. When Leon asks her name, she answers, “Ada.” Hi, Ada Wong.”
Ada’s short black hair and stylish clothes make her stand out right away, especially when compared to Claire, who seems more normal. The deep and mature sound of voice actor Sally Cahill’s voice, along with the piano that starts playing as she says her name, makes for a strong first impression. It’s just a name, but this is the only “unchanging” thing about the spy.
“Here, Use This!” (Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4)
In the stories of both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, Leon has to fight T-00 and Osmund Saddler by himself, which seems impossible to win. During the fight, Leon’s actions will make these opponents nervous, which will make them change quickly to beat the human main character.
When it seems like there is no way out, a familiar voice gives Leon a rocket launcher that deals the final blow that kills the monsters in each game. This will start the rather common Resident Evil myth in which Ada gives Leon the rocket launcher that kills the game’s final boss.
